Wilma Ethel Sooy Perry

Wilma Ethel Sooy Perry, 91, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Thalia Sooy; her loving husband, Russell Perry; and son-in-law, Bill Cavin. She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Perry Noel and husband, George, Darleen Perry Cavin, Audrey Perry Irby and husband, Paul; grandchildren, Richard Noel (Edie), Jenny Hardee (Curtis), Debbie White (Edward), A. Clay Nesbitt, Jr., Wayne Nesbitt (Jennifer); great-grandchildren, Ben Hardee, Mitchell Hardee, RaeAnne Noel, Ellen White, Jenna White, Quinn Nesbit; sister, Lorna Patt (John); brother, Russell Sooy; and numerous extended family and friends. Wilma was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Hopewell for 54 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church, 1107 W. Broadway, Hopewell, VA 23860. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to First Presbyterian Church.
