Wilmer Faison

Wilmer â??Winkyâ? Felton Faison, 73, of Waverly passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2011. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports and just being outdoors tending his garden. Winky was a devout family man who put his family at the center of his life, especially his grandkids. He retired from International Paper after 43 years of employment. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dolly B. and Martha B. Faison; his beloved grandson, Christopher Ferguson; brothers, Bob, Woody and Hardy; and sisters, Edna and Lillian.
Winky is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alease â??Bettyâ? Faison; daughters, Cindy Faison and Beth Stephenson and her husband, Steve; granddaughters, Shannon Ferguson, Taylor Stephenson and Haley Stephenson; sister, Dolly Murphy and her husband, Randolph; brother, D.B. Faison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Wakefield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 2 to 4 pm. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the funeral home with Connie Gibbs-Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Waverly Cemetery.
