Wilton Lee Hall, Jr., 94, a lifelong resident of Prince George, passed away on May 1, 2022. He was the son of the late Wilton L. Sr. and Elsie Cibula Hall. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Lt. Col (R) John Strain.
He was a graduate of Disputanta High School and was in the corps of cadets at VPI. He graduated with a Civil Engineering degree in 1949. His first job was with the construction of the New Jersey turnpike as a land surveyor. He worked for Allied Chemical for 35 years, retiring at the age of 62. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting, and golfing. He was a devoted son to his parents.
He is survived by his sisters, Mildred Strain and Catherine Lyon; nephews, Gerald Strain, Dr. Thomas Lyon (Mollie); niece, Cynthia Blankenship (James), 8 great-nieces and nephews and 13 great-great-nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Sycamore UMC, 9710 Old Stage Rd. Prince George, VA 23875 or the Heritage Museum, 6406 Courthouse Drive. Condolences may be registered at
