Vaughan, Wilton Lee, 70, of Walthall died peacefully on April 22, 2008, after a courageous fight against heart failure. He is survived by his wife of 23 years and best friend, Yvonne Lancaster Vaughan; daughter, Lisa Diamond and her mother, Patrice Hurt; sister, Betty Hale; nephew, Mike Vaughan (Ann) who was more like a son; great nephew, Daniel; his grandchildren, Kayla, Katelyn, Matthew, and JT. Also left to mourn are many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Wilton, a retired electrician, loved hunting, off-shore fishing on the Marlin Mania in Hatteras, raising hounds, and driving his truck. He proudly served as President of Green Bryer Hunt Club for 50 years. Special thanks to his niece Patricia Anderson who helped so much in his last days and to his dear friends Connie Morgan and Jim Bowman. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity or a local animal shelter. Visitation will be Thursday, April 23, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the J.T. Morris & Son Funeral Home of Chester. A graveside service and interment of his cremains will follow on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the Vaughan Family Cemetery off of Golf Course Road in Chester.
