Winfred Young

Winfred Young, 85, of Hopewell, died Friday, February 18, 2005 at his residence.. He was born in Radford, Virginia. Mr. Young served in the US Army during WWII and was a retired millwright with Allied Chemical Corp. He was the son of the late Joseph T. and Clara Bradberry Young. Surviving are his wife, Margaret R. Young of Richmond, Va., a son, Barry N. Young and wife Sylvia of Hopewell, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, a sister, Ruth N. Elliott and husband Richard of Prince George, and a brother, Herman Young and wife Hazel of Radford, Va. A graveside service will be held Monday, February 21 2005 at 2PM in Westview Cemetery, Radford, VA. with Rev. Edward Bellis, pastor of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church, officiating.
