Winnie Gruenke Holley, 84 of Colonial Heights, died Sunday, August 3, 2008. She was born in Germany and daughter of the late Herbert and Alwine Gruenke. She was the widow of Roy Gordon Holley. She was a member of Petersburg Kiwanis Club, Past President of AARP of Petersburg, Republican Womanâ??s Club, Retail Merchants Association and a devoted member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was a retired Petersburg employee of Harlow Hardy Furniture Company for over 25 years, and in later years became part owner. She was an avid Ballroom dancer. She is survived by her daughter, Jane H. Dolan and husband, Mike of Manakin Sabot and a granddaughter, Alana H. Smith of Richmond. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Al Thorne officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
