Zellar Ramirez

Zellar Mae Ramirez, age 73, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011. She was born in Amherst, VA, the daughter of the late Ira and Sarah Clark Ramsey. Zellar was also preceded in death by her children, Clarence Patterson, James Patterson, and Carolyn Patterson. She was a long distance truck driver for 13 years before retiring. Zellar is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Michael Ramirez; children, Don Ramsey (Cynthia), Dennis Patterson (Heather), Sharon McCroskey (Rex), John Patterson (Lisa), and Ira Patterson (Jodi); a sister, Virginia Cash; brother, Hubert Ramsey (Ellen); and numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and in laws. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chesterfield chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 1 p.m. in the Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church, (3400 Courthouse Rd. Richmond, VA 23236), with interment to follow at Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will also receive friends 1 hour prior to the Funeral.
